Smol Haos Toilet Project is a nonprofit organization increasing health and education access through safe sanitation at schools and clinics.
We are dedicated to expanding education and health access across the South Pacific. We partner with schools, clinics, and community centers throughout Vanuatu to ensure every person has access to safe, clean, and dignified sanitation facilities.
This isn’t just about toilets—it’s about health. Without facilities that safely dispose of waste, entire communities remain at risk. The SHT Project bridges this gap by bringing secure, managed solutions to the South Pacific.
With 33% of primary and secondary schools lacking basic hygiene services, we aren’t just building toilets—we are building a foundation for better health and higher graduation rates.
Because these facilities lack secure sanitation, patients face delayed healing, malnutrition, and a loss of basic dignity. We provide the infrastructure needed to turn these clinics into truly safe spaces for recovery and health.
In a community where 1 in 50 infants didn’t survive their first year, the local clinic sat unusable. We stepped in with a $35,012 investment in sanitation and infrastructure.
The result?
2,700 patients treated.

These are the results of our first 9 months of completed work. We’ve proven it works—now it’s time to scale. This year, we’re doubling these numbers.
Two weeks after we finished our first clinic—and for the first time in three years—a nurse was on duty when Collete arrived. We couldn’t stop the heartbreak of a mother losing her child, but we could stop the loss of the mother herself.
Had the clinic remained closed, Collete would have bled out on her kitchen floor while her family watched helplessly. Because our work exists, she is alive today. Our brand may be jovial, but our mission is not: we build so that in a crisis, no one is left alone.
For women like Betti, a “safe birth” used to mean leaving their island and family for months at a time. We changed that for a community of 10,000.
By restoring their maternity ward and clinic, we eliminated the agonizing choice between family support and medical safety. Betti’s son was born in a clean, modern facility just minutes from her home. This is why we build. We provide the infrastructure that keeps families together and keeps mothers and babies safe.
